Film Review: "No Strings Attached"
Directed by Ivan Reitman, No Strings Attached, is a fun and exciting take on what might otherwise be considered a sordid occurrence: “friends with benefits.”
It features Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman, both well-loved actors who know what they’re doing.
That said, it most certainly was not a “chick flick” like I had expected. It’s worth watching.

Whither Retro Fashion?
It appears that ’70s fashion has returned, at least for women.
J Brand “Martini” Slim Flare-Leg Jeans ($185)
I’m certainly interested to see where this leads, as I’m all for retro design. I just hope that this doesn’t end up with those horrendous shoulder pads. /shudder

Jeep to Revive the Grand Wagoneer!
First of all: YES!!!
Second, I’m sure I’ll hate it. The original was sophisticated, yet rugged. The new one won’t have a three-door or manual transmission option, much to my anger. I guarantee that.

Epicurean Review: Pamplemousse Rose Perrier
Perrier: in my mind, the word conjures up images of effeminate French men puffing cigarettes at a Parisian open-air cafe. That said, it is an acquired taste. I’ve never cared for the regular one, and the lemon and lime flavors are somewhat strange-tasting. However, I’ve stumbled upon a Perrier to beat all others:
Pamplemousse Rose.
As you may or may not know, pamplemousse...

Beautiful Cars
As has been often said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To that extent, here I offer you five cars which, to me, are ravishingly beautiful. They are in no particular order.
1. Jaguar E-Type Coupe (Malcolm Sayer)
It’s been called beautiful by many people, but it’s worth repeating. Designed by aerodynamicist Malcolm Sayer, the Jaguar E-Type takes the classic motif of long hood...

In Search of the Perfect Jacket
I have blazers and coats aplenty, but I don’t have any stylish hoodies, or anything leather. To that extent, I’ve been looking for something.
I’d love something leather, but don’t know where to look. I need something slim-fitting.

Test Drive: 2011 Volkswagen CC Sport
In the “Test Drive” segments, I’ll be giving my thoughts on recently-driven cars.
Today, I decided, “heck, I have nothing better to do” and went to my local Volkswagen dealership.
I had my eyes set on a CC Sport with the manual transmission. The engine, a 2.0 liter turbocharged four cylinder, provided ample power to get the car moving. Adding to...

In the News: Sri Lanka to Ban the Miniskirt? Say...
From the looks of it, Sri Lanka is gearing up to ban the miniskirt. Were this Iran or Saudi Arabia, I’d believe it, but this is a bit odd, no?
Far be it from me to tell people how to dress, but people should be allowed to wear what they damn well please. Some may complain, but who’s to say that you can’t show a little skin?

Film Review: "A Single Man"
Tom Ford’s directorial debut, A Single Man wastes not one frame to ugliness. Full of beautiful people throughout, the drama uses specific colors and hues to show sudden bursts of joy in the dark and gloomy last day of a suicidal man.
That man, George Falconer, played by the impeccable Colin Firth, is a homosexual British expatriate living in Southern California in the 1960’s....
